This blog is uses Blogger (or Blogspot, same thing). It is part of Google and is known as the simplest blogging software to use.
You get to our blog by typing ferndalegenies.blogspot.com. You don't have to sign in. You should be able to see everything and to leave comments as Anonymous. But we would like it if you include your first name in the comment.
A tour of our blog:
Across the top: Tabs will take you to Pages of information that will be there for your use and won’t change much. They are the tabs across the top and also on the left side.
On the left:
· Pages similar to the tabs across the top.
· Followed by a blog list. Blogger automatically updates these with their most recent post info.
In the center panel: Posts are included with the most recent at the top. To make a comment, click on the little yellow pencil at the bottom of each post. To see other people’s comments click on the title of the post.
On the right:
Follow by Email: I would like to use this to replace the Ferndale Genies email list.
Search This Blog: This only searches the posts in the center not the pages with the tabs.
Labels: Labels are assigned when posts are written. You click on the label and the blogs with that label are displayed in the center.
My Archive: Older posts by month.
Comments: You can comment on any post or page or make general comments in the Contact Us area. Anyone can make comments without signing in. Below the comment box where it says Comment As: In the dropdown menu select Name/URL. Fill in your first name and leave the URL blank. The comments are moderated and the moderator will reply or post the comments as needed.
To Print: Use a right click or ctrl P.
