know that you will be joining our mostly online group starting Saturday, September
21. Just one week away. That is the date for our one in-person introductory
meeting but it is optional. I will add
you to our google group so you can receive the emails. Our welcome to you is below.

to the Ferndale Genies Research Like A Pro Challenge
We would
like to share with you what we learned when we took Diana
Elder’s Research Like A Pro Mini-Challenge.
There
are 7 topics (see chart below). We will be doing 1 topic per week starting
September 22 and ending November 9th. There
will be an introduction meeting Saturday, Sept 21 at 1:00 at the Ferndale
Library. We thought it would be fun to go celebrate after
we finish the challenge.
You will
receive 2 lessons each Sunday with the instructions for the week. You can
work at your own pace. We hope everyone will share their work
thru our Google Group. When you are done with the
challenge, you will have completed a mini report. It might just be a
paragraph summarizing the 3 searches you did and that is fine. The purpose is
to practice each of the steps and finish the whole
process.

their blogs you can review the Research Like a Pro in more depth as well as
listen to their podcasts on each step. They also have a book/E book
“Research Like a Pro” by Diana Elder that you can order thru Amazon or Barnes
and Noble.
